Events
Spring break has finally kicked off! All the students are now enjoying their two weeks of freedom without any classes. With the seniors graduating this year the school has decided to host their annual Masquerade ball for everyone in town. Yes, even people from the neighboring town are invited to the ball. With the student council and the staff working overtime the ball is finally ready! Yet something is different about this year's event. It may be because the senior members of student council decided to go out with a bang,
Earlier Butler had taken the subclasses to the hideout before watching Layla kill them off. Then he texted Demy who told him to move them locations. It was a few minutes later that Demetria would be met with Layla, giving Butler some alone time with Gideon. He stayed in hiding, making an illusion so that Gideon would believe him dead too. Assuming that Gideon would go after Demetria who had stopped texting, Butler would follow after him from a distance. All he needed to do was lead Gideon to Layla, perhaps giving him a tip of the danger Demy was in would do the trick. He texted Layla, telling her that Gideon needed some encouragement to move, so what does Layla do? She throws a knife at Demetria, causing her to drop her phone.
Then she reaches down to steal it, taking a photo of the drained Demetria before sending it off to Gideon. Of course since it came from Demetria's phone, he might think it was a weird selfie at first. Damn it. Who'd they send that to? My subclasses? If she wanted out of this, she would need to get her phone back. "You want to know what is better than killing your subclasses off? Killing off your favorite." Layla answered with a laugh.
gideon had been texting demy while he decided what to do. he wanted to go home and heal. he wasn't sure what he should do with demy. she was so stubborn and he hadn't received information as to where she was so he could drag her back to her beloved butler.
at his wits end he called butler asking him where the rest of the sub classes were. with an address he set off to find them and make sure they were alright.
he had finally arrived. he was still hurting from the last fight he had just been in. he was cautious as he entered."butler."he called out. nothing seemed to be out of place and then he saw it. he stood dazed. not believing what he was seeing. they couldn't all be....
he spotted butler."what happened?"butler seemed to be breathing seemed to be rather shallow. he didn't answer his question. he just kept muttering a single phrase."im going to get help."his words sounded hollow to him. he wasn't sure how he could help them.
his phone buzzed and he was quick to check it. finally she answered. when he opened the message it wasn't exactly what he was expecting."what the hell."he quickly texted back asking where she was.
"Oh look, Gideon asked where you were." Layla quickly answered, quickly texting Gideon back the address of their location. She has my phone, she texted Gideon my location. Coming here is a really bad idea... I know we have our fights, but I don't have a death wish for him... I don't want him to come...
She fired her pistol at Layla, hoping to at the very least force her to drop the phone. But Layla had moved and still had the phone on her. Damn it. I can't text him if she has my phone. As far as I'm concerned, he is coming whether I like it or not. Layla sent another text message to Gideon, taunting him about how long Demetria would last even though she can heal.
"I'm willing to bet he'd come for you and when he does, that is when I'll end you both. Or at least him so that you can suffer." Layla was grinning at her, "Seeing as he is the last of your subclasses that is alive." Well that wasn't true, but she wasn't going to tell Demetria that Butler had betrayed her.
If Gideon is just going to be coming anyway, I need to give myself some distance. Maybe if I end her first, he won't risk injury. Then he can move out like he wanted... She sighed over the thought, if her subclasses really were dead, she would be left alone. It made her angry that Layla had gone so far just to make her suffer.
"Then I guess I better end you before he shows up." Demetria once more fired her gun, Layla had moved, tossing a knife at Demetria, getting her in the shoulder with it. Ugh... This was the same arm that had a fracture earlier... The next best option would be to move herself away from Layla and her ex, but turning her back had encouraged Layla to throw another knife at her, hoping to get her in the back.

gideon wasn't sure how to feel. or what he should be feeling. there as way to much shit going on right now. why did it have to be today. why now? with the attack still fresh in his mind he made his way to the location butler had told him.
he just hoped he wasn't too late. eventually he reached his destination. he stood there unsure of what to do or where to go. he gritted his teeth and figured he'd just use the front door."where the hell are you?"he shouted.
Demetria turned to look back at Layla just to see the knife that was supposed to go into her back sliced her arm as it went passed her. Why is it that arm that keeps getting injured, at this point I won't be able to reload my gun. She made sure to do it each time she was running out of ammo, having a bag full of ammo strapped around her waist.
Another perk for leaving home was getting more from the store, of course that had happened before the fight those people from earlier had caused around the city. At this point I'm going to have to buy even more... She thought to herself frustrated. Butler came up from behind Gideon, creating an illusion so that Gideon would have the pleasure of seeing Demetria die by Layla's hand, even though it wasn't real.
Demetria had her hands full with Layla and her ex, she didn't realize that Gideon was here already. "Oh look, your boy friend showed up." Layla answered with a smirk, planning on going to the front door first. Demetria pulled the knife out of her shoulder and threw it towards Layla, knowing it wouldn't harm her but would distract her enough that she made her way passed her to get there first.
She could see Gideon was at the front door with Butler, Butler... Is alive? She was confused, but what was even worse. She could see the illusion that Butler had put on, she could see herself dying even though she was right there. What the hell... She knew there was only one way to prove to Gideon that she wasn't in the middle of dying, not as he was seeing it anyway.
Butler had taken notice of her though, so the illusion came off so that Gideon would be able to see that Demetria wasn't injured as Butler had allowed him to believe. "Explain yourself!" She couldn't shoot Butler down, but she could help Gideon come to realize that she was right there and it wasn't some illusion.
Another kicker that pissed her off, he was wearing the suit that he was supposed to deliver to her parents. Her focused turned towards Layla who answered for him. "Well it looks like the party is all here, I can kill you both now. You'll die the same way as your subclasses, with this eve weapon." Layla had pulled the eve weapon out.
Unless I shoot you first. Demetria wasn't going to take Layla's bullshit anymore. "Layla, we had a deal. You'd get Gideon and I'd deal with Demetria myself." Butler had spoken up, making Demetria hesitate on shooting Layla. The two argued and it seemed as if Layla would go just for Gideon.
"It looks like you have a slight problem." Demetria interrupted the three of them, even though her ex hadn't done much talking it had just been Butler and Layla. "I'm not giving Gideon up that easily." She fired the gun, getting Layla in the right shoulder, making it harder for her to attack them.
he didn't want to hesitate. one wrong move and that could cost someone their life. he didn't want to waste anymore time. he heard people near by and he rushed towards them. before he even had the chance to make his presence know he saw something he hoped he'd never have to see. demetria dying.
he fell to his knees."im sorry..."he failed again. he failed to save the other subclasses, butler and now demetria. if he would of know this was going to end like this. he would of let that psycho c3 bitch end him.
he chuckled softly. what the hell did that girl do to him. he would of done anything to get away from her, but now. the gun shot had brought him back to reality. what the hell was going on. all he knew was he was going to pay for this in the morning. he wasn't sure what was going on. he had been distracted by the fact that demy was dying, dead, but here she was shooting at the trio."im not going down without a fight."gideon finally spoke, standing up and dusting himself off.
Demetria watched Butler trying to put on another illusion. I don't think so. She fired her gun at him as he was in the middle of making the illusion appear real, making it falter until it was gone again. Though it was true that she wouldn't be able to kill her own subclass without having an eve weapon, she could still mess up his concentration.
He was supposed to be with my subclasses, what the hell is he doing here with Layla? Giving bull shit about letting Layla have Gideon if Layla spared me? I knew he liked me but I didn't think he'd go this far. She thought to herself, shaking her head slightly. Though she was able to heal herself, the injury from her arm from earlier still hurt like hell.
I guess that person really did a number on me with that damn umbrella. She thought to herself, focusing on the three in front of her. "In answer to your question, I lead Layla to the hide out when you were out and about with Gideon. Remind you that you had me once they were all gone, but Gideon is still here when Layla was about to deal with him." Butler finished, clearly enjoying the suit that he had stolen from her.
Traitor. Though she didn't have the heart to kill Butler because he was still her subclass. She was pulled from her thoughts, "Let's go Layla, you can't fight like this." Butler was encouraging Layla to leave, Layla of course didn't want to but with her arm being shot at, she would have a harder time attacking Demetria and Gideon at the same time.
Go? Do they honestly expect me to allow them to leave just like that? She thought to herself, lifting the gun she prepared to fire at Layla again, Butler had admitted to letting her kill her subclasses and there was hell to pay for it. Her ex pushed Layla out of the way just as Demetria fired, making her miss her target.
God damn it, I have to reload and my arm is killing me... She placed the gun in her other hand, grabbing some ammo from her bag to try and reload it before those three got away, before Layla would get away. Butler created an illusion as she attempted to place the bullets in her gun, she was still able to see them slightly as she closed the gun switched it back into her other hand and fired, barely missing Layla when she was no longer there.
The illusion didn't last long before Butler had used it fore fleeing purpose. Butler had betrayed me, I had a feeling Layla was up to no good, but I was to focused on other things to do anything about it. My subclasses are gone, because I failed to protect them. Her gun disappeared and she grabbed her arm wishing the pain would go away. Gideon is still alive though. Right?
She turned to look around herself, about to panic before she saw him. Butler is gone, Gideon really is here. Layla stole my phone... Demetria wasn't one for crying, but tears were pouring from her eyes anyway.
he stood back and waited for things to play out. if he needed he would use his power to protect demy.
he couldn't believe what he was hearing. butler betrayed them. for what? just because demy didn't give him attention. he felt rather bad, wondering if there was anything they could of done to avoid this. he lead layla to the hide out. how could he just stand by and watch them die.
it hurt too much to think about them. he had failed them as well. he waited till they left to move towards demy. he could only imagine what she went through. without thinking he wrapped his arms around her. there was nothing he could say that would make her feel better. he held her and he remained quiet.
Demetria leaned against Gideon when he had wrapped his arms around her. Butler betrayed me. How could he do this? I thought things were fine and he had to go and do that. Layla will pay for killing them. Without thinking, her arms moved as to wrap around Gideon, he would support her for now. Demetria didn't know that Butler had lead Gideon to a different spot.
"Gideon... We should get out of here before they come back." She honestly wasn't in a rush for moving, the fight drained so much energy from her and her arm still hurt like hell. Besides there was a slight chance that Gideon was hurt from the fight he had earlier, well he said that he had fought earlier through text.
I'll have to rest up and figure out what I'll do about Layla later, I doubt she'll be back till she is able to use that arm of hers again. She thought to herself, feeling relieved at least something had gone right for her. I think I get it, my ex and Butler look somewhat similar. I'm almost positive those two are brothers. She would have to figure out later what she'd do with the subclasses but Layla was going to die.
gideon didn't say a word as he lead her out of their location."do you want me to carry you?"he finally broke the silence."i don't think going home is a good idea."he told her. if they did intend on coming back they would have to go somewhere butler didn't know of."my friend aurora doesn't live to far from here. let's go."
Demetria holding onto Gideon was comforting, as if letting go she was at risk of him disappearing on her. She didn't want to find out this was a dream and they were all gone, Gideon was sill her favorite, he'd always be her favorite. There was more to it than just that though, she cared about his safety, more than she cared about the rest. She had feelings for him, feelings that wouldn't go away.
Gideon asked if she'd like him to carry her. It was a tempting offer and it would make her feel a little bit better. "Yes." The answer seemed to take more effort than it should have, but she still had tears coming from her eyes from such a great loss. Gideon mentioned not going home to be a good idea and she couldn't help but agree with him, but she didn't know where else they could go.
Gideon mentioned his friend Aurora and Demetria felt herself dying more on the inside. Did I just become a third wheel? She didn't say anything, just laid her head against his shoulder because he was nice enough to carry her. She wasn't going to argue with him, but she didn't plan on being a third wheel for very long either. I'll have to deal with Layla quickly if I want to move on with my life.
She closed her eyes, debating on shifting into a snake so that she'd be smaller to carry. In the end she opted to stay as a human because she was reminded of the pain in her arm.
he picked her up, surprisingly without much difficulty. had his previous wounds finally healed up? or maybe he didn't feel them anymore. he had knelt down enough for her to get on his back. he hoisted her up and walked out of their current location.
he had mentioned aurora. there was no way he wanted to risk his mother in this whole thing. he never told layla about his mother and he hoped she'd be safe. he'd have to call her. with butler being a traitor who knows what kind of information he spilled.
he had told her it was near by, but every step he took it felt like he'd never reach her place. they didn't say much as they walked. they both had been through so much the last couple of hours. all he wanted to do was shower and sleep."we're here."gideon told demy as he knocked on the door. normally he would just walk in. he didn't want to cause too much of a scandal at the moment. aurora took one look at them and ushered them in side."what do you need?"
"let us crash here for a few."he said as he let demy off his back. aurora nodded."let me go get a room set up."she told them."make yourself at home."she smiled at demy before walking away and leaving the pair by themselves.
Demetria felt bad that Gideon was carrying her, she should be walking and yet here they were. Gideon was holding her against his back and she laid against him, head against his shoulder as she thought about what she would need to do now. Words hadn't been spoken but she knew the first thing she would need to do is get in contact with her parents.
Tell them about where the suit had gone now that she had finally found it, let them know that she'd need a few days off because her arm hurt like hell, and to ask them to send a few people down to Gideon's mother's house. She never told Gideon that she had seen Layla watching them there. Gideon told her that they were here, then he had knocked on the door.
A girl had opened up the door, looked them over before asking what they needed. I need a cell phone and a table to hold my arm up so that I can reload my gun. It wasn't something she cared to say in front of Aurora though. She remembered her, she was the girl that she had seen Gideon with the last few times.
She had no plans on staying here very long. Gideon let her off of his back and she watched Aurora leave. Well I suppose I can do what I need to do in the room. She thought to herself tiredly. She is friendly. Maybe that is why Gideon likes being around her so much.
She hadn't forgotten the last conversation she had with Gideon, about how his mother had Aurora and that was all she needed. "Gideon." She had moved towards the wall before leaning against it. She was tired, but holding her weight against it proved easier than she had thought.
"You should phone call your mother. I don't suggest telling her everything because that might freak her out, but do as you wish." She had paused but it was only because she was tired, "I saw Layla the night you got stuck driving me home, she had told me then about being a servamp."
In other words, call your mother, she knows where she lives. It was also a hint that she cared about the woman's safety. "I need to borrow your phone." She added, there wasn't a need to remind him that Layla had stolen hers. She would need to get a replacement but until then, she would end up having to borrow one.
There was a bright side to this though, she wouldn't be able to receive phone calls, she wouldn't be found if she wanted to remain hidden. Standing is taking to much effort. She used the wall to hold her weight as she slid down to sit on the floor. One leg was out stretched as the other was bent as she closed her eyes to rest.
I don't sleep very often, I'm invested in my work for such things. I sure hope that Aurora is making that bed for Gideon because I don't plan on using it. There was more pain in her arm, she found herself rubbing it with her hand to try and get the pain to dim down.
Gideon frowned."don't tell me what to do. I was already planning on calling her."he told her as he started dialing his mother's number. He sighed as he started yelling."thanks mother that would go been great to know. It slipped your mind huh. No it's alright. Yeah, go a head and stay another week. I'll come pick you up. Yes. Okay...bye."
He tossed her the phone."if you plan on leaving. I will kill you myself."he told her as he watched her slide to the floor."I'm going to go check on Aurora."he told her as he walked away.
Demetria listened to his phone call with his mother, then he ended it and tossed the phone to her. She smirked at his comment but didn't answer him when he left to check on Aurora. That will be a hard task, but I'd love to see you try.
She dialed her parents, "Hey mom, everything is okay but I need a favor. I need you to send a few people to my place to collect all of my stuff. You'd want them to be servamps or eves. As I said, everything is fine. Oh yeah, I need you to send security over to this address." She gave the address of Gideon's mother to her's who seemed more than willing to help out.
"After this I'll be sure to stop on by, I have a new project in the works. I'm still working on that suit, by the way I found out what happened to the other one and I'll be handling that as well. Love you mom, love you dad." She hung up the phone, resting a hand on her forehead as she planned out her next move.
It was moments like this that she forgot that she was completely drained, her eyes closed and she fell asleep in her sitting position. One had still on her forehead as her other hand held the phone on her bent leg since it was the arm that was still injured.
