BIOGRAPHY
According to the doctors and their mother they were born as a male. So it came as a surprise when their mother named him Sayo. Maybe she had secretly hoping for a girl. Not that their mother was that great of a mother to begin with; in fact, she left her child in the care of her parents while she went out to party. Sayo's father had for some unknown reason ditched their mother when she had been pregnant with them. Their were rumors that their mother had cheated on their father and the fact their mother craved the attention of the opposite sex only made these rumors seem even more true. But it wasn't all bad. Sayo loved their grandparents; since, they would pay attention to them and get them whatever toys they wanted.
Surprisingly enough they usually asked for barbies and dress up sets. This usually led them to being teased by the other kids since they were seen as a boy. They just shrugged off all the negative things people said about them. So they liked going around in skirts and dresses, they didn't see them problem with that. They found that kind of stuff to be more comfortable anyway. Didn't mean they wouldn't go around wearing male clothing, because sometimes they just didn't feel like dressing up. Whenever their mother would take time out of her life to actually visit them she didn't seem impressed. The fact her son took pleasure in playing with barbies and cross dressing disgusted her.
Most of the time when she came she would bring along her new boyfriend of the week. One day when they were eight almost nine their mother brought home a new boyfriend of her. Her mother's new boyfriend instantly treated her with contempt because of the way they acted. This didn't bother them though, it wasn't like they would have to spend any quality time with the guy. However when they were celebrating their ninth birthday her mother invited her boyfriend along. When her mother's boyfriend ended up getting drunk and started messing with Sayo. Sayo at first tried to ignore him, but it's hard to ignore someone who suddenly picks you up and throws you into a pool. Sayo would have drowned if their grandfather hadn't jumped in to save them.
Their mother who had been inside at the time ran out to see what was going on. Her boyfriend told some bogus story about Sayo trying to drown themself for attention. Of course Sayo tried to defend themself by telling the truth. However their mother believed the words of her boyfriend over theirs. Of course this let to a huge argument between the adults and their grandparents ended up disowning their daughter, deciding that they were to become Sayo's legal guardians. Sayo was perfectly fine with their grandparents becoming their legal guardians. Their mother was pretty much a complete stranger.
When they were thirteen the government claimed their grandparents were to old to care for them and they were scheduled to be sent to an old person home. Of course this meant they would be sent to live their mother. Angry by the prospect they took off, just wanting to be alone to think. With all the emotions they were feeling they weren't really paying attention to where they were going. Apparently they ran right into traffic and ended up getting hit but one of the vehicles. A servamp found them before any of the humans did and took them away before any of the humans could locate him. They second they died the servamp fused their blood with his to bring them back. At first he didn't want to believe the servamp when they were told what was going on. They had never been the type to believe in the super natural but there was really no explaining what had happened to them.
Over the years they found out about nonbinary people and realized that was the category they fell into them. They had never really felt like they fell into the gender spectrum. and it was a relief to no they didn't have to worry about labels. People could think whatever they wanted to of them and could refer to them anyway they wanted. For awhile they just traveled around with their servamp. It wasn't like they had anything better to do. After their death they had actually left Japan but they eventually made their way back to the place Sayo had been born, Takayama. So as to fit in better Sayo started attending the university and started a job of a dancer, as well as playing other sports.
