BIOGRAPHY
Unlike what most believe Kageru actually was not born blind. Nor was her name always Kageru Vega. She was born in Spain to a Japanese mother and a Spanish father. She was born under the name Yui Gomez. She had a good life with her parents but not everything can be all rainbows and sunshine the hard way. She found that out the hard way. Even as a child she had a beautiful singing voice. She would pretty much sing wherever she went. She even decided from a young age that she wanted to become a famous singer. Her parents supported her decision of course and tried to help her out whenever they could. But her beautiful singing voice also drew the attention of some of the most unsavory of the people. They wanted her so they could use her for their own gain.
Their was repeated attempts of her being kidnapped, but her father or mother was usually able to keep anything bad from happening. Despite the repeated kidnapping attempts her life was pretty good. At least until the age of thirteen. She had just won another singing competition and was celebrating at her house with her family when about three guys broke into their house. Like all the others all they wanted was to kidnap Yui. However her parents weren't going to let that happen and they attacked the bad guys. At some point she remembers jumping in front of her father to protected him, only to have the bad guy slash his blade over her eyes. Of course it had been an accident, but it had been enough to make her unable to really do anything.
I'm order to protect her her father acted as a decoy while her and her mother got away. It was hard concentrating on running when she was in pain, but she managed. They hadn't gotten to far before they heard the people pursuing them. Her mother helped her climb a tree so she would remain safe, before going to face the bad guys. She silently listened to the whole fight which didn't last long. The fact her parents had died protecting her made her so distraught that she almost gave away her hiding place. However she managed to keep quiet and they ran past her hiding place, probably thinking her mother had told her to keep running. For awhile she staying in her hiding place, but she eventually got down. She was still worried about running into those guys, so she headed in the opposite direction that they had taken.
She wasn't really sure where to go but eventually decided to go to Takayama, where her mother had been born. It took awhile to actually get there since she was either walking or hitch hiking to get where she wanted. But finally she reached Takayama. Realizing she would probably need money to survive on her own she started singing for the public again. However the use her birth name was o painful to her, so she ended up changing her name to Kageru Vega. She chose Kageru since it was another word for blind and Vega was chosen because it had been her favorite star before her loss of eyesight. Whenever people would ask her about her lack of eyesight she would claim she was born blind and would never open up about her past.
It wasn't until meeting her servamp at the age of fifteen that she found she could actually trust someone. Of course she didn't trust the other person from the start. It took three years before she felt she could completely trust the vampire. She knew her new friend was a vampire but she refused her friends offer to be his Eve. She didn't think she had what it took to be their Eve. She was pretty sure they could do much better then her. And that was always her answer whenever they would ask why she wouldn't be their Eve. Though prehaps it would've of been best if she had taken them up on their offer. Maybe it would have kept her from dying. And she wouldn't have become a subclass.

She tried to fight back but she couldn't hold off three people. Her friend somehow found her though and killed the man who had hurt her. Because of them she had gotten badly injured though, and it was clear she was fixing to die. Her friend didn't want to lose her though and ended up making their subclass after she had died. At first she was mad at her friend for making her their subclass, but she could understand why he had done.
