PERSONALITY
Shun is a rather simple individual, mainly due to his composure and upbringing. Being a rather level-headed, and rather calm man. Sometimes a bit too calm, as he would react rather nonchalantly towards situations others would react differently. It is that very reason that people call him oblivious, which is fair. While the man has a poor eye for what happens around him, you can at least trust in him to stay mostly rational. Although that same obliviousness can lead to some rather blunt comments from him.
Outside of his rather deadpan demeanor, Shun can be a rather diligent and compassionate individual. Unusually putting 110% of his energy into something, regardless on what it is. Studies, exercise, cleaning, and even sleeping. It is that very fact that makes him a bit of a weirdo while doing normal tasks. It is just how the guy is.
Speaking of putting himself into his everyday activities, there is one that he will always be into. That is, cleaning. It is near compulsive at this point, but Shun has a need of keeping things clean. Which would explain on why everything he owns is neatly organized, and without a spec of dust on them. If things are bad enough, the guy might just clean things up himself, regardless on where he is. This is when the normally chilled Shun will start ranting on, and becoming a cleaning terror.

BIOGRAPHY
Shun grew up in a rather traditional home in Beijing, well as traditional as it got. A Chinese father, and a Japanese mother. It was something that his father's old-school parents were rather against, saying that he should marry a nice chinese woman. His mother however rather made them think otherwise, namely in the fact that she wouldn't leave. No matter how many times they tried to shoo her away, she just clung to his father even more. Couldn't say that she was anything but determined. Hell, they are still convinced that she got pregnant to further prove to the traditional folks, that she was sticking around. Shun wasn't going to complain, as that is how he was born. It was at that point his grandparents just gave up, and let them do what they wanted. All the while his mother had the biggest grin on her face, while his dad couldn't help but laugh.
Growing up, he was told that he had his father's composure, and his mother's determination. A combination that seemed a bit odd, if you knew his parents. Shun interpreted as a compliment if anything. Although growing up it was that exact attitude that did cause him to get into a few unnecessary tussles in school. Mainly for him saying a blunt comment, unaware if it was offensive or not. As it was purely unintentional on his part, however the other kids didn't really care, as they put up their dukes. It wasn't until the third time, that Shun started to get an idea on what was going on, but at the same time he managed to catch the eye of one of his school's PE teachers. Join the martial arts program. He said, or rather insisted as he said something that Shun had a knack for that kind of thing. Saying it would help with his problem, and would be an excellent pass-time. So the boy accepted the offer, not really knowing he could have said no. Besides, it sounded like fun if anything.
So that is how Shun managed to get himself roped into taking his school's martial arts clubs. Namely Tae Kwan Doe and Judo, mainly by his coach's behest. Shun merely went with the flow, and when his mother found out, she encouraged him even more. Turning into one of those rabid soccer moms, however screaming for her boy to kick the other's ass. Her words, not his. That was however one of the few things that he proved to be rather adept at, so much so that his mother loved to brag about her son to the other mothers. Which usually resulted in a couple brows raised, and a few looks at their boy. Followed by a bit embarrassed Shun.
A balance of studies and training is how he spent the rest of his high school years, even managing to enter some tournaments. Most notably one that featured competitors from both Korea and Japan joining the fray. Now Shun wouldn't lie if he said that he wasn't a bit pumped, as it was a chance to test his mettle against the other major nations. While Shun did manage to hold out, the guy did manage to reach 3rd place. Right behind two other students from Japan. If anything it got him intrigued. So much so that after graduating from high school, the man tried to apply to a college over in the island of Japan. To see what they did differently over there.
Now if he had things his way, he would simply move over there, and get a job. However his father had to make him a deal of finding a course that he can take, as well as a job. Easy enough, so he decided to take a course of physical therapy and a job as being a part-time florist. All the while spending his free time trying to learn about Japan, and perhaps even trying out some of their martial arts. Despite the owner's constant remarks of him not being allowed to use the store as his own personal dojo.
