Events
Spring break has finally kicked off! All the students are now enjoying their two weeks of freedom without any classes. With the seniors graduating this year the school has decided to host their annual Masquerade ball for everyone in town. Yes, even people from the neighboring town are invited to the ball. With the student council and the staff working overtime the ball is finally ready! Yet something is different about this year's event. It may be because the senior members of student council decided to go out with a bang,
Christina smirked at Rowan. "Of course I do." She told him before adding, "I just thought it would be fun to take a detour home." She was guilty of taking a longer way home. "I'm not in a rush, are you?" She teased him playfully. "I can give you the address if you want to look it up on maps just to make sure I'm still leading you the right way." She teased him again.
"Of course I am." She told him boldly, "Only one person in that house needs to give permission and I gave it." It wouldn't matter the reason for him coming into her house, it was a good enough reason in her own book. And if they kick me out, I'll have to figure out where to go from there. She honestly didn't think they would make the effort in kicking her out though.
So perhaps she had been fond of Rowan before he had come out to save her. Then of course liked him much more after he had saved her and when he had appeared to be the bad guy had mostly frowned against him. When it turned out he was still on her side, saving her for the second time she had found a great need in being around him much more.
"I sure hope you realize there won't be anymore, I see you and say hi and you flee into your house. I plan on interaction with you." It wasn't a request but a friendly demand. That is how things had been before he had made her his eve. "But you can say it in this form or in your ferret one." She hadn't been this happy in a while, to think she was going home and something good would be coming out of it after all.
Her best friend lived right next door after all. It was exciting to know that she had him. "We aren't going back to how things used to be, right? I mean I still don't understand what exactly being your eve means." She confessed, finding herself slightly sad again. Hopefully he wouldn't just up and leave her, that would be a heart break.
She didn't know how they would have to remain nearby one another to survive dying and how she could harm him if she wanted to but she didn't want to. Also how if one had a great need to get rid of their eve they would have to kill them to do it. She was just a human after all, barely getting an idea this type of stuff existed having once thought her greatest moments in life were at school when really it was her neighbor.
He pouted."I trust you."it almost came out as a whisper. It was good for that that she was so close to him or she wouldn't of heard him."you're so mean to me."he said sticking his tongue out at her before laughing.
He pouted once more."great if I would of known how clingy you were I wouldn't of made you my Eve. Fine. I'll say hi to you when I get home."he said with a chuckle."don't worry you're stuck with me."he didn't want to tell her for how long.
Christina grinned at Rowan, "I'm also flirting." She stuck her tongue out before laughing. Then he made his comment about making her his eve.
"You knew I was clingly when you showed up twice to say hi in your ferret form." She grinned when she finished speaking. Rowan than said she was stuck with him. She stopped walking so that she could look at him properly.
"Promise?" It was a question, hoping for him to say yes. She liked being around Rowan, it would be sad if she stopped seeing him, still unaware of the servamp and eve.
rowan simply rolled his eyes."if you're trying to make me blush you're gonna have to try harder than that. i mean you call that flirting. you need to work on your technique."he said with a laugh.
"like hell i did. you picked me up the first time. interrupting my nap. so rude and no manners either."he couldn't help but smile at that. he continued walking turning back to see that she had let him go.
rowan sighed."don't get all mushy on me. please. yes."
Christina grinned at Rowan, "As if you could do it any better." She dared him, finding it amusing that he called her bad at flirting when he hadn't even shown her what he got. "Oh well in that case, you didn't even get a chose in the matter." She was going to win this argument, he wasn't allowed to regret making her his eve.
"I'm pretty sure the ball woke you up and my hugging finished it, I doubt you'd complain though." She smiled over at him, "Oh don't let my grandparents hear you say that, I don't want more lessons on the subject." She would rather he give them instead of her grandparents though she knew he was kidding.
Rowan turned around to look at her and told her not to get all mushy before telling her yes. She ran back over to him, taking his arm again in hers as she started leading him forward towards their home. "I still say that you'd enjoy playing sports with me, or swimming, swimming is fun too."
rowan simply laughed."im not going to teach you how to flirt. you best learn that on your own. even if you're bad at it."
rowan stayed quiet. she had a point. if it hadn't been for the baseball he would of continued sleeping. it was a nice place, under the shady tree. just thinking about it made him want to take a nap."shut up."he nudged her playfully.
she latched on to him once more and he sighed at her next comment."i am not playing sports with you. no physical activity what so ever."he chuckled softly. he leaned closer to her, to whisper in her ear."well, maybe one physical activity."he leaned away, a smirk on his lips. it wouldn't take him too long before he started laughing. of course he was only joking.
"Oh come on... I want to see you do it better." Christina continued trying to dare him. Even if she had to learn on her own, there was no harm in watching him do it back, besides him doing it back meant he liked her too right?
Christina laughed when he nudged her, finding it fun to be messing around with him. Then he told her that he wasn't playing sports or any physical activity before whispering his other comment. She blushed because he had chosen to whisper it to her. "Swimming is innocent enough." She would answer once he started laughing.
"Maybe if I get better at flirting." She played off of his joke, choosing to let him wonder if she had been serious or not. It wouldn't matter though, she had a long way to go if she wanted to get better on her flirting techniques.
he shook his head."no, its embarrassing."he said with a chuckle."i can't flirt on command. it sort of just happens okay. i don't have some amazing talent, i just know how to make certain people blush."he told her with a grin.
rowan simply shook his head."i highly doubt that princess. i bet you haven't even kissed someone."he smirked playfully."don't play with fire, you might get burned."he told her with a wink."and no to the swimming, well maybe if you get better at flirting."
"Certain people..." Christina was allowing his words to sink in, then he called her princess and pointed out that he bet she never kissed anybody before. She might as well admit to it now, since he would get stuck showing her how that is done too. "There is always a first, you can help me with that as well."
She then was told to not play with fire and how it might burn her. "But your doing it... and it looks like it could be fun." There was no way she'd be able to compete with that comment. Then he said no to swimming before changing his mind saying maybe if she got better at flirting.
She blushed at his comment, something about it just made it not seem innocent anymore and that excited her. "Hey.... I see what you did there..." Excited or not, she was slightly embarrassed that he got her to blush so easily.
Rowan couldn't help but laugh. Hopefully he didn't sound to mean. Maybe he shouldn't of laughed."well aren't you full of spunk."most girls wouldn't be so upfront with not being kissed let alone telling someone they had just met they would be practicing on them."you're not my type. Sorry."he smiled.
"Why do good girls always want the bad boys?"he asked her teasingly. He knew she wasn't completely a good girl. He wasn't about to let her know that though.
He shook his head a small laugh escaping his lips.
Christina shrugged off his laughing, he thought that he wouldn't be practiced on, they would have to see how well that'd go for him. "I don't let it bother me." She didn't think about it on a normal bases, now that Rowan was in her life that would likely change but he didn't need to know that.
"To bad." She added with a smirk. "Your physical activity isn't happening unless that changes but you'll still join me in the pool." A friendly demand, he wasn't getting off that easily. Sure she found a ferret and gave him a name and item, but he drank her blood and made her his eve.
She didn't know the name and item were apart of the process just that he made her his eve, surely he was somewhat interested in her. Only one way to find out. Rowan then called her a good girl, she stuck her tongue out at him.
"I don't know, you'll have to tell me after you ask her." She knew he had called her a good girl, she'd show him that wasn't always true.
Christina was still latched onto him, he could pull away anytime he wanted. "So, I've decided to prove it to you." She answered, clearly planning on another detour.
The sun had been out but now clouds were in the sky as rain started to pour over them.
