Leon didn't have to work today so he decided to spend the day doing whatever he wanted. He didn't want to spend his day off stuck at home though. Where would the fun be in that. It wasn't like he had anything against his house. He just figured he spent enough time at home whenever he got off the work. As long as there weren't any emergencies at the hospital he usually wasn't bothered after he got off.
A lot of times when it came to his job he would let his guard slip enough that he would be able to sense if someone was in pain. It kept people from playing off how seriously hurt or ill they were. However he made sure to not let his guard completely down. The last thing he wanted was to let all the patients pain get to him. Which was why it was always a bit of a relief when he had a day off, not that he didn't enjoy looking after patients.
Sometimes on his day off he would head over to the park or would look around the mall, depending on the kind of mood he was in. However today he decided to do something different. He decided a change of scenery would be nice. Grabbing his phone and keys he headed out the door. He didn't think anyone would call him, but it was better to be safe than sorry.
After locking up behind him he made his way to the beach. He hadn't been to a beach since he was a young child, so he guessed it was long overdue. Upon reaching the beach he looked around. It seemed nice enough and no one was around. That didn't really bother him as much as it usually would. Taking off his shirt and shoes he ran off to the water and waded into the water. He didn't really care if his jeans got soaked, but he didn't want his shirt to get wet. He enjoyed swimming, it was actually pretty good exercise. He made sure to keep an eye on the bank though; in case, someone else wandered up. After all he had left his phone and keys with his shirt and shoes.
And if you're still breathing
you're the lucky ones. cause most of us are heaving through corrupted lungs.
