don't worry
"Hey, never said you would! But I'm glad that you're going for graduation! And yeah, I guess that makes sense." He chuckled as he spoke. Dropping out of school wasn't his best decision, but it's better to not regret the past. Chizuru was going to help him get a GED after all! He wasn't sure if he'd ever go to college—he didn't have any support let alone contact with his mother anymore, and he didn't want to trouble Chizuru with another student debt, one that wouldn't even be hers. But knowing her, once he got his GED, she'd probably encourage him to go anyways. Now he was curious if Daelyn was going to go.
"Daelyn, you thinking about going to college after graduation?" He said in a curious tone, his eyes focused on her for an answer. If she was, he wondered what major she'd pick. If Chizuru convinced him to go somehow, he wasn't sure what major he'd pick. Like come on, that's what you'll spend the rest of your life doing! Of course it's going to be hard.
He pondered about the Masquerade. He didn't really have any nice clothes, so he'd probably just wear his every day garb and throw in a cheap dollar store mask. Hopefully Daelyn wouldn't mind. He couldn't afford anything fancy. He watched her bounce around in an excited manner—it was cute, really. He wondered what got her so excited. Whatever it was, it was doing a good job at getting her pumped. That's when she got back to him on his kanji question.
"Oh, that's alright! Tons of people have trouble with kanji, especially if they're not from here, I can't blame you." He gave a nervous chuckle as he smiled at her. Maybe that wasn't the best question to ask. But it's already been asked, so it's not like he should get all worried about it. He should leave it in the past and learn from it. He went onto her next comment. Her father had a terrible attention span, huh? He could help with that.
"Well, I could help you with it if you want! Just ask anytime." He gave her a caring grin. If she was going to get him free music lessons, it was the least he could do!
He followed her up to the counter and watched her order stuff for Beastie Boys and one song by Icon for Hire. He felt a little jittery just watching. She was actually pretty serious about playing him something by Beastie Boys, wasn't she? He smiled at the thought. He definitely had to return the favor to her—buying lunch wasn't enough. Speaking of it, why'd she say 'it's a date'? It caused him to blush—he wasn't sure if he was joking or not. He always had problems telling if others were joking or not. Either way, best get the show on he road! He walked out the music store and wondered what floor they were on. It was the second floor, wasn't it? The food court should be on the bottom floor, shouldn't it? That's where most the food courts he's seen in media have been. But it media really a reliable source? He sighed and turned to look at Daelyn.
"Soo...You know where the food court is? Heheh..." He sheepishly coughed out, rubbing the back of his head. He really didn't know the mall too well, but Daelyn seemed like she was one to frequent it. She did show him where the electronics store was without a single problem after all.
